Help! I cannot access the full text of this article.

Answer

Some of the articles in the databases do not have a full text version available.  Check to see if the record has a link that says "PDF Full Text", "Full Text Finder", "HTML Full Text", or "Connect to Resource".  Occasionally, a record will have a numeric link to the full text.  If your record has none of these, then a full text version is not available online.

You can submit an interlibrary loan request form to the library and a library staff member will attempt to find a copy of the article.  With this work increasingly being done online, the speed has dramatically improved.  Often, a request for a photocopied article is received within, at most, one or two business days.  Sometimes, a copy is even received an hour or two after a request is submitted.  See the below link for an electronic form or the file included with this answer (below the image) for a hard copy of the form.

Otherwise, if you can choose to see only full text results.  When conducting your research, select "Full Text" underneath the "Limit To" section on the right side of the page.  This will give you results that have the full text available.

Example:

Pointing out location of "Full Text" limiter
